Funding is provided for innovative small and medium-sized enterprises. The aim of the funding is to maintain and increase the innovative strength of Baden-Württemberg in the region. The funding supports comprehensive corporate investments in buildings, machinery and equipment that serve to develop and economically utilize new or improved production methods, processes, services and products.
In the course of the investment, a new product or service must be introduced that is unique to the company.
The grant is provided as a non-repayable subsidy. The funding rate is up to 20% for small companies and up to 10% for medium-sized companies. Funding is limited to a maximum of €400,000 per project. In exceptional cases, the funding can be increased to €500,000 per project if the project makes a clearly recognizable contribution to the circular economy and bioeconomy.
Small and medium-sized enterprises with fewer than 100 employees (full-time and without trainees) from rural regions of Baden-Württemberg are eligible to apply. The applicant must have the potential to become a technology leader in the respective industry or segment.
Grants of less than € 200,000 cannot be approved, resulting in a minimum investment amount of € 2 million.
Applications can be submitted by the applicant municipalities until February 28 or August 31 of the respective year. The companies may only start the project once the L-Bank has approved the funding and the grant notification has been received.
