The company Jürgen Escher Labeling and system technology based in Merdingen near Freiburg im Breisgau, has developed into a leading specialist for labeling and line technology since it was founded in 1997. With an experienced team, the medium-sized company offers a comprehensive service package for KRONES labeling machines. The company's core competencies include in particular the manufacture of spare parts and assemblies for KRONES labeling machines, inspection and maintenance, the design and manufacture of new machines and the sale of refurbished machines.
As a specialist in labelling and plant technology, Jürgen Escher Etikettier- und Anlagentechnik strives to continuously optimize its production processes in terms of both energy and process technology. The objective of the Merdingen-based company as part of the project was to modernize its own production in terms of both energy and process technology. In this context, an existing inefficient machining center from Deckel Maho was replaced by the new efficient machining center from Spinner company replaced.
The company is expecting many benefits from the switch to a new, efficient machining center. The use of the latest control and drive systems, highly efficient motors and automatic shut-off of the spindle sealing air should result in considerable energy savings and higher system output. Overall, the fully coordinated machine concept and the integrated tool magazine with up to 54 tool positions contribute to high-precision and overall efficient production.
The decision to invest in the new machining center at Spinner not only makes ecological sense, but also economic sense. In addition to energy savings, the replacement investment opens up synergy effects, such as the potential networking of production - keyword Industry 4.0. In summary, this means that the subsidy criteria "Process and procedure changes that lead to energy and resource savings, in particular energy and resource-efficient technologies as well as energy and resource-oriented optimization of production processes" in accordance with the subsidy program "Federal funding for energy and resource efficiency in the economy" fully fulfilled. Spitzmüller AG provided technical support for the project.
